I had the pleasure of being in Stevie’s company a few years back and could’ve listened to his stories about the Lisbon Lions and Jock Stein all day. A great servant to the Club and will always be a legend after that most historic goal sealing the European Cup in Lisbon 1967 Rest in Peace Stevie YNWA

Stevie will always be remembered for THAT goal and rightly so. But his record at paradise speaks for itself so much more than that goal a proven goalscorer no matter the occasion a team player and one of the many that knew what playing for the jersey really meant. Big jock said that Celtic jersey doesn't shrink to fit inferior players and rightly so. Stevies jersey must have been enormous such a phenomenal player that he was. RIP Stevie gone but never forgotten, Celtics original number nine....

Stevie, that goal you scored on the 25th of May 1967 in Lisbon will always be the most important goal in our clubs great and wonderful history. The other 230 goals you scored for us were special too but that one was extra special. Along with your other pals from that great team, you will forever be held in the highest regard by the Celtic family. Stevie Chalmers. A Lion, a Legend, a Celt. R.I.P.
