Celtic Football Club have created this book of remembrance to celebrate the life of one of Celtic’s greatest ever goalscorers, Stevie Chalmers.

Sincere condolences to Stevie’s family and friends. We will forever remember that goal that put Celtic at the very pinnacle of football and secured permanent greatness. Many thanks Stevie for all those wonderful moments when I was a kid growing up and watching Celtic. Thanks especially, for that great piece of centre forward play when you scored the winner in the European Cup final in Portugal on 26th May 1967. Rest in peace.

Stevie I never had the privilege to meet u but that fact didn’t stop u from sending a lovely get well msg and card and a signed photo 3years ago when I was ill in hospital all because a friend of urs happened to be in the same ward and told u what a big Celtic man I was I will always treasure them stevie and all ur glorious triumphs YNWA

Stevie it was a privilege to be of an age where I watched you and the lions play, our club was formed in 1985 ST FERGUS (forfar & district csc ) you were invited to be our honorary president which you accepted ,you and Sadie attended our dances many times for which I thank you.not only were you a great player you were a gentleman as well,it’s an honour for our club to carry your name on our club badge HAIL HAIL
