The gentle giant that scored our greatest and most important goal. Fly high stevie and when you link up with the rest of the lions the jungle will rise once more and they will sing the names and tell the stories of our legends past present and future. On the wings to your paradise Stevie may you rest in eternal peace. Blessings and thoughts with his family from Ireland

I think my earliest memory of Stevie is from 1961, while I was 9yrs old. He scored in the Scottish Cup, firstly against Hibs in a 1-1 draw (we won replay at Easter Rd) and then v Airdrie in semi final (a 4-0 win). God bless, another legend heading to a different Paradise. RIP Stevie.

You and the rest of the Lisbon lions will forever be remembered with great fondness and love! My grandchildren will grow up and they will know your name and the rest of that greatest Celtic team.
